Cancellation Policy

If you have any doubts, questions, concerns, or need to soften our cancellation policy for whatever reason, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our first and most important concern is the safety and good vibes with our clients.

At LUX Snow, we understand that life can be unpredictable. Our retreats are intimate, intentionally curated experiences, and we prepare months in advance to ensure every detail supports your journey. Because of this, we have established the following cancellation policy to honor both your commitment and the integrity of our planning process.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on any LUX Snow retreat. This deposit guarantees your reservation and contributes to upfront costs that allow us to maintain the elevated standards of our experiences.

Cancellation Terms

91 Days or More Before Retreat Start Date

  • Refund Option: 50% refund of the total retreat package, minus the non-refundable $999 deposit

  • Credit Option: 100% of the amount paid can be transferred as credit toward a future LUX Snow retreat

60 to 31 Days Before Retreat Start Date

  • Refund Option: 30% refund of the total retreat package

  • Credit Option: 75% of the amount paid can be transferred as credit toward a future LUX Snow retreat

30 Days or Fewer Before Retreat Start Date

  • No refunds available

  • Credit Option: 50% of the amount paid can be transferred as credit toward a future LUX Snow retreat

15 Days or Fewer Before Retreat Start Date

  • No refunds or credit transfers available


Rescheduling Policy

If you need to reschedule your retreat, you may apply your eligible credit toward another LUX Snow retreat within one year of your original retreat start date. After that period, the credit will expire and can no longer be applied. Rescheduling is subject to availability, and any price differences between retreats will be applied at the time of booking.


Deposits

All LUX Snow retreats require a non-refundable deposit of $999 to secure your space. This deposit is part of the total retreat cost and is essential for us to reserve accommodations, guides, and services that make each retreat exceptional. Note: the deposit may vary from one trip to the other.


Snow Conditions & Alternate Experience Policy

At LUX Snow, we thoughtfully select retreat dates and destinations based on historical snow patterns to provide an exceptional backcountry skiing and snowboarding experience. However, snow conditions are inherently unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.

In the rare event of insufficient snowfall, unsafe conditions, or other weather-related factors that limit skiing or snowboarding opportunities, LUX Snow reserves the right to modify the retreat itinerary to prioritize guest safety and overall experience.

Should snow conditions prevent backcountry skiing or riding, the retreat will proceed with an adapted program that may include alternative outdoor adventures (such as hiking, glacier or lake excursions, or horseback riding), expanded wellness offerings (including yoga, meditation, or spa treatments), and curated cultural or culinary activities. These experiences are designed to preserve the value, quality, and spirit of the LUX Snow retreat.

No refunds, credits, or partial reimbursements will be issued due to weather-related limitations, including lack of snow. However, in the event that all skiing-related activities are fully canceled, LUX Snow may, at its sole discretion, offer a goodwill credit toward a future retreat.

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation or interruption due to weather-related events.


Travel Insurance Strongly Recommended

Because our retreats take place in remote mountain destinations and involve outdoor activities, we strongly encourage guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This should include:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption

  • Weather interruption
  • Emergency medical coverage

  • Coverage for baggage and personal belongings
